3 mi. N Potholes, 250 ft., Imperial Co., Calif.
Dec. 25
present at this date. On Jan 14[?]/1939 there

were bats present, but of only one sex. All
the bats taken were fat and none of the
♀♀ contained embryos. Drag line at locality
7 mi. NE Fort Yuma, 200 ft., Imperial Co., Calif.
was moved farther along canal bank
and bats were skinned during the evening.
Dec 26. a.m.- Trap line was inspected and most of
traps were removed. Catch consisted of 4
Sigmolon, 4 Reithrodon[mys] and 3 Mus
and 1 Albert Towhee. In p.m. a line of 70 traps
were set out along ditch bank overgrown
with Bermuda grass and arrowweed. Traps
were set at about 10 yd. intervals in runways
of Sigmolon. In the evening Rhomomys
obtained by George Barry at locality at
1½ mi. NW Bard, 200 ft., Imperial Co. Calif.
were skinned.
Dec. 27 a.m. Drag line was inspected and rebaited
and left out during day. Catch consisted
of 7 Sigmolon, 3 Mus. and 4 Reithrodon[mys].
During afternoon a line of 50 traps was set
out along rocky dry wash 2 mi. NW Potholes,
250 ft.; sign appeared old and was not abundant.
Dec. 28 - Last night more Rhomomys trapped by George Barry
at 1½ mi. NW Bard were prepared as study skins.
