apart in sandy soil. Vegetation cover
of cheat grass, sagebrush Purshia and
cactus. - Results -
1 ♂ Dipodomys ordii
18 Perognathus parvus (7 ♂ 11 ♀)
2 Lepus californicus were shot about 7:20 P.M.
July 19 along the edge of the road between
Irrigon + camp site.
Returning to Irrigon at 6:20 P.M. July 20
1 1/2 mi SW Irrigon a Sylvilagus nuttalli was
shot near the edge of an alfalfa
field along the border of uncultivated
brush land.
At Irrigon, 300 ft., Morrow Co., Oregon
the gopher traps were picked up and
1 ♂ Thomomys talpoides was caught.
July 20.-
1 mi. N Burbank 350 ft., Walla Walla Co., Wash.
(P.M) party broke camp at Paterson and
travelled to Pasco crossing the
Columbia and Snake rivers and
setting up camp a short distance
up-river from the Snake river bridge
near the mouth of the river. Set
out 27 traps at edge of alfalfa field
under piled driftwood.
July 21 (A.M.) No results from traps
