hatten, J-E. 1939 Itinerary Hmi: NE Roosevelt, 200ft, Klickitat Co., Wash.. July 16. (P.M) Party broke camp at Maryhill late in afternoon and travelled along dirt highway near edge of N bank of Columbia (highway 8D?) to present locality. Stopped here and made a temporary camp and set out 75 traps near the river bank in sandy soil covered with rabbit brush, sagebrush, and cheat grass. July 17 - Picked up traps - Results : 13 Reithrodontomys megalotis 20 Perognathus parvus 3 & 17? Traps had been set following the river on a flat plain above the high water level. Reloaded truck and continued on up river afternoon. Arrived at Paterson, 250 ft., Benton Co., Wash. about 4 P.M.. Set up camp and set out 90 mouse traps and 4 rat traps at 15 fpace distance. Traps were set along edge of a dryfield containing grass, cheat grass and some sagebrush along the edges. Also at three sand dunes and sandy soil covered with sagebrush
