Itinerary
Maryhill, 200 ft. Klickitat Co., Wash
July 14 composed of sagebrush, cheat grass, wild oats and dry mustard plants. Some willows and scrubby bushes were present at intervals. Soil is washed sand or gravel in between many large rounded boulders. - (8:45 P.M.) Shot Myotis flying at edge of willows along the river bank.
July 15 - (A.M.) Picked up traps, most of which were sprung, possibly by the many large tenbrinid beetles which are present. Caught 1 ? Perognathus + 6 Aeromycus maniculatus, 3♂ 3♀; - Noted faces of Neotoma cinerea at intervals along tracks.
(P.M.) Set out 60 mouse traps at 15 fccs and 10 rat traps at favorable locations along the line. The same trap line was followed as of previous night.
July 16 (A.M.) Picked up traps - Results:- 6 Aeromycus maniculatus 4♂ 2♀
3♀ Perognathus parvus.
2♀ Neotoma cinerea
2♀ Reithrodonmys megalotis
- Picked up skunk skull beneath large rock in sand along edge of Columbia River
