Chattin. 1940 Itinerary Old Fort Clatsop, 100ft., Clatsop Co., Oregon in small clearing along a road throt Sitka spruce and timber. Aug. 19. a.m. - Inspect trap line and reset traps. Traps in riverbottom contained 1 Peromyscus 1 Zapus, 1 Microtus, 1 Sorex bendirii, 2 Sorex obscurus 1 Sorex vagrans and 1 Sorex frowbridgii. Traps in buggy area around the spring contained 8 Peromyscus, 1 Zapus, 1 Microtus, 3 Sorex obscurus, 1 Sorex vagrans and 1 Sorex frowbridgii. Steel sets contained 3 Aplodothis (1 juvenile). p.m. Trap line in riverbottom land inspected but contained nothing. Trap line near spring contained 1 Neurotrichus and 2 Sorex vagrans. At 7:30 p.m. - 1 Mycterus cinerea was shot as it was flying down roadway cleared three Sitka spruce and Alder. It was flying about 20 ft. above the ground and was flying in straight line and apparently was not feeding. A few minutes later 2 Myotis were shot at same place and flying at about the same height.- Aug. 20. - a.m. Inspected traps and reset those sprung. Traps in river bottomland contained 1 Sorex Bendirii, 1 Sorex vagrans, and 1 Sore
