Jan.28
7:30 P.M. - Small & T.b. albatos put into
bottom of box with ST.albatos. At
first they appeared to fight,
but apparently no damage
done to either. Later I began
to push F about the box
(face to face) as though pushing
dirt. This continued for
a short time. Both would
separate for a short time
but soon return to pushing
at each other, at times both
standing up on hind legs.
Several times the M rosed
around the perineal region
of the F and 3 times turned
her over upon her back. During
parts of the procedure the F
made several squeaks and
the M at times also "squeaked," but
in a much deeper pitch. After
about 1/2 hr. both were replaced
in their respective cages.
