Jan.28 7:30 P.M. - Small & T.b. albatos put into bottom of box with ST.albatos. At first they appeared to fight, but apparently no damage done to either. Later I began to push F about the box (face to face) as though pushing dirt. This continued for a short time. Both would separate for a short time but soon return to pushing at each other, at times both standing up on hind legs. Several times the M rosed around the perineal region of the F and 3 times turned her over upon her back. During parts of the procedure the F made several squeaks and the M at times also "squeaked," but in a much deeper pitch. After about 1/2 hr. both were replaced in their respective cages. Jan.30.
