Chattin D 1940 Itinerary 150 ft, 2 mi. SW Potholes Imperial Co. Calif. Jan 15 (contd) Railway Express. During P.M. we travelled up highway from Ogilby to Arroyo Seco (locally known as Milpitas Wash) and thence down the wash to cabin owned by Comer where we spent the night. Jan 16. Travelled from Comer's place back up Arroyo Seco to highway and thence on up the wash on a road leading up along the north edge of the wash to present locality. Arrived about noon and ate lunch and then started up side wash leading northward from main wash. Hiked up to base of mountains and returning towards camp noted 10 or 12 long-eared owls along a steep-banked wash about 2 mi. above road. Coming on down wash observed herd of about 8(?) deer, (2 bucks 3 does + 3 fawns) at distance 7
