Chattin 1940 Itinerary 150 ft, 2 mi SW Potholes, Imperial Co., Calif. Jan 12 Bermuda grass near Arrowweed patches along the banks of an irrigation canal. 4 Sigmoldm were caught during the day. 8 gopher traps put out along the canal banks in light sandy loam soil. Jan 13 - Live traps moved to new area. Several more gopher sets put out (old sets moved) Jan 14 - 3 Sigmoldm caught yesterday P.M. (during the day) - 1 died in trap probably from exposure to dried heat of sun. P.M. - Several more Sigmoldm caught during day. Jan 15 - A.M. - Live traps picked up. Moved camp about noon and went to Yuma to get supplies and ship Sigmoldm (21) to Hooper Flats. 4 cages (Young's Animal Trap Co.) were packed with Bermuda grass and lettuce, oats, 1 apple and rats selected by size which placed in cages and shipped by
