J. Chattin Crotales confluents (?) 8mi. ENE Paseo, 650ft., Franklin Co., Wash. July 22 7:45 A.M. - While picking up traps in sand dune covered with some pagebrush and sparse cheat grass a rattlesnake was observed at a distance of 6 ft. The snake rattled and then crawled about 4ft. under a small bank beneath a pagebrush where it remained partially coiled and was shot.
