J. Chatton Lepus trinitatus Brooks Mdw. 4300ft, 9mi. ENE Mt. Hood, Hood River Co., Oregon July 6 - (A.M.) 1 ♀ Lepus caught in 85 traps 8 yds apart. Specimen caught in deep grass and sedge (Carex) in bottom of small ditch. July 7 (A.M.) - another ♀ Lepus caught in exact spot as previous night. July 8 2 Lepus 1♂ 1♀ caught within 10 yds of those caught July 6 & 7. 1♀ contained 7 embryos. Ice Caves ft. 5mi. ENE St. Helens Co., Wash. July 10 - 4 Lepus caught in fairly open forest near fallen log. Ground cover of wild strawberries. Land fairly well grazed off by cattle. Twin Buttes P.S. 3900ft, 3mi. WSW Steamboat Mt. St. Helens Co., Wash July 12 - 1♂ Lepus caught in fairly open space near edge of brush. Stayawhile Spring, 5150ft, Columbia Co., Wash July 27 - 1♂ Lepus caught in thick herbaceous cover near edge of small stream.
