July 6 3 ♀ Sorex vagrans caught in 85
traps set 8 yds apart along edge
of meadow. 1 shrew caught
along edge of dead log, other
two caught about 15 yds from
edge of timber in thick matted
growth of sedge (Carex) and
Camas. Soil damp and vegetation
moist.
July 7 - 1 ♀ S. vagrans caught in 62 traps
set in about same place as July 6.
(P.M.) - 1 ♂ Sorex caught during
day between 6:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
in thick matted grass.
