July 30 (P.M.) - Broke camp and traveled to overnite camp. - No traps set out. July 30 N.E. edge Hk Kali lake, 4200ft, Lake Co., Oregon Arrived here about 6 P.M. - Set out 54 traps 20 paces apart. Traps set in sandy soil which is covered with baked alkali in spots. Vegetation surrounding dry lake bed is principally greasewood, grading into sagebrush some distance from the flat lake bed. July 31 (A.M.) Picked up traps- Results. 2 & Microdipodops megacephalus 1 & Perognathus parvus 4 Dipodomys ordii 2& 2♀ 17 Peromyscus maniculatus 10♀ 7♂ 1 juvenile Sage Sparrow?} shot in sage brush. 1 mi. E Vinton 4900ft, Plumas Co., Wash. Broke camp around noon and moved to present locality - Set out 58 traps in sagebrush and cheat grass in open sandy soil. Aug. 1 (A.M.) Picked up traps- Results.
