Hatties, J.E. 1939 July 23 Itinerary 3\1/2 mi W Kennewick, 550ft, Benton Co, Wash. (F.M) - Results - - 1 ? Mus mosculus Returned to camp at 7:30 A.M. at 1 mi N Burbank, 350ft, WallaWalla Co, Wash and caught 1 ? Marmota flaviventris in No. 0 trap. (P.M) Went up Snake river a short ways to 2 mi NW Burbank 500ft, WallaWalla Co, Wash. Land is rolling dunes covered with sparse growth of sagebrush, cheatgrass, & Russian thistle. Soil is drifted sand. - 1 Lepus californicus was shot. 14 Sceloporus and 1 Coluber constrictor taken. In the evening went to 2 mi SSE Burbank, 350 ft, WallaWalla Co, Wash and set out 50 mouse traps. Traps set 20 paces apart along sand dunes covered partly by growth of sagebrush cheatgrass, and dry Russian thistle. July 24 (F.M) - Picked up traps - Results - - 5 Perognathus parvus (4 ? 1 ?) 8 Dipodomys ordii (5 ? 3 ?) 2 ? Onychomys leucogaster 1 ? Reithrodontomys megalotis 1 Sceloporus was caught also.
