It is best not to pay them in money when
they do you a favor (like spend thoughts)
of however you rent a boat & a boatman
pay in dollars. Boat, boatman (highly
recommended) and motor should be
no more than $5 for [illegible] motor, $[illegible] for
boatman, $1 for boat plus gas. For
a collecting trip you might want a marinero
(pole man) about $2.00 a day. The
upper rivers frequently require poling
rather than motors. These people
should be cooks & set up camp for
above price. There is a Doctor w El
Reel, La Palma & maybe Jaque.
