Taboga Island, Rep de Panama
through the rocks on the cave floor - we
couldn't reach them - we didn't bring
flash lights. About 6 people inquired about
my authorization to catch bats on Taboga.
Explained that the University of California
had made all arrangements for me & 5
women & exactly stated what channels
they had to do it. My, my, it's a good they
no one wanted to see the permits (which
don't exist). The bats # 843 - 891.

From a fresh water river & stream combination
came # 909 a collection of tadpoles &
frogs. # 892 - # 907 were collected
from all over the island. They are EVERYWHERE.
Got a ride in a truck (only one on island -
nocars only 1 jeep for army) up to the roaday
night. Great view of Panama & all the
islands around & the ships waiting to get into the
canal. # 908
