C. Ceccalini 1967 81 Journal Taboga Island, Rep de Panama through the rocks on the cave floor - we couldn't reach them - we didn't bring flash lights. About 6 people inquired about my authorization to catch bats on Taboga. Explained that the University of California had made all arrangements for me & 5 women & exactly stated what channels they had to do it. My, my, it's a good they no one wanted to see the permits (which don't exist). The bats # 843 - 891. Oct 22 From a fresh water river & stream combination came # 909 a collection of tadpoles & frogs. # 892 - # 907 were collected from all over the island. They are EVERYWHERE. Got a ride in a truck (only one on island - nocars only 1 jeep for army) up to the roaday night. Great view of Panama & all the islands around & the ships waiting to get into the canal. # 908 on wall of cement. Oct 30 Panama City and Darien Prov., Rep de Panama Left hotel Bella Vista ($2.50 per night) at 5:44 Voli to Paililla air port ($1.00) & is TASA airlines. The Gavina air strip is now condemned so one must fly to El Real & take boat to Gavina. ADSA has sent a Gavina that waits for airplane but
