C. Carolus 1967 Journal. 64 cont. Sep 28. 4km N, 3.5 km WQ mount Rio Higuera, Darian Prov., Panama to look around. When sun fell + 100 then rain in the afternoon. We found another #603. It too was dead & had an ailer. Breakfast & lunch were the same as dinner last night.. Heavy rain for a short hour in the afternoon. The Indians eat three big meals a day. After the rain we went down to the river to skin #603. We started down river after the rain in hopes of getting to the farm, we explored a little quebrada then the rain came. After dinner 2 Indians took us hunting. Walking barefoot to the pir eagua made me a little uneasy. The flash light wasn't as bright as I could have been. Up river about 20 minutes by motor we took a quebrada (chicharey). Here we didn't use the motor. The current was strong because the river is beginning to flood. We saw several tets & Basalives.
