C.Caerler 1967 Journal 52 cont Sept 18th Yaviza, Darien Prov., Rep de Panama #354 feet reddish flesh colored, upper mandible all black, lower mandible flesh becoming yellow x black the end third. Skinned till 1230 light fair to poor. It is difficult to get anything done because of the high number of visitors. Today there was a little rain about four, but we are having a relatively little rain for Yaviza this time of year. Sept 19th up at 530 to check the nets. In net #1 (over gruox orchard) we had #388 x 389 Ces0 #390 and #391 . The mouse traps were empty - most had bate stuck in them. The other net #2 is this o had 2 bats #392 x 393 also #394 v 395 One of the kids brought a a bat from his house #396 The nest #397 and the 2 eggs #398 are from a Ruddy ground dove. Nest was 31/2-4 feet from the ground in a tangled low shrub. The skeleton #399 is the same little species as #390. #400 , #401 , #402 , #403 were from net #1. These were collected about 3:30 Net #2 had #404 and 405 and 406 . #407 used
