C. Curleu 1967 Journal 34 August 25 Vale Millers mi 55 Sero de la puerta Costa Rica stump which was hollow like a tunnel & the second under a dead moss covered log. One #202 was feeding in large clear area I had 6 worms in its mouth. The second #203 was in a low shrub & wasn't feeding or mining. The #204 was feeding on clear ground surrounded by low shrubs. #205 + 206 frequently saw in leaves making little jumping back movements as if looking for food. They are often in cleared areas. #207 is very common. Shot her from a low tree. Warmer tonight. We stopped skinning early to go bat hunting. we walked a little over 6 mile & saw only one fox. By that time (dusk) last night we had seen several August 29 one mouse in the low brush (bets corn mat) Packed & drove to Hotel Boston. Saws only one field on the way. No rain today. It began to cloud up about noon on the Sero.
