C. Cavalin 1967 Journal 33 Villa Millo 5.1 mi SE Seno de la Muerte, Puntagorda Prov. Costa Rica August 27 Clear morning until about noon when the fog came in. The afternoons are usually foggy now the nights. # 197 was feeding on the ground near a puddle of water. The # 194 was on brushy hill feeding on spotted grass covered ground. There were 3 or them together. The # 195 was apparently feeding from a flower with several hummingbirds on this same plant about 20 min. later shot # 198 & # 199 The # 196 was in a small tree 4-6 feet. It was leafy tree I think. Saw +/- 7 parrots fly over head. Later in the day one flew but I didn't see it land. Saw another equal but it looked as if it had a gray tail. Set traps: 10 with tuna fish & 20 with corn meal. The first 15 set in shrub & the second 15 in forest by logs & tree bases. Saw 3 or 4 sets but didn't shoot them. August 28 Clear again the morning & fog about noon. Valley is the warmest day we have had. The two mice # 200 & 201 were caught in the forest (none in the shrub) one in a dead tree.
