C. Caveler 1967 Journal 30 mi S.E Finca Jimenez, Guanacaste Prov. Costa Rica August 19 was in a flashy (+ 6 foot) tree feeding. The monkey was in a group of +8 other monkeys. She got stuck in the tree + I expected a reaction when I from her "family" when I shot her blowgun, but not a sound as action. The #176 was in the nest. When I peeked up the owl from last night (#172) I found in his stomach only grasshoppers remain. Night hunting saw in mi - 28 parague, 4 barn owls Costa Rica Playas del Coco + Finca Jimenez Guanacaste Prov. August 20 Rain light in the morning. Heavy overcast left for Playas del Coco at 10 a.m. Saw sparrows, many anies, cattle egrets, vultures (NO) Only one hawk, did lunch at the beach & sat in the sun. Watched the three brown pelican dive very warm water - light overcast but we got a little red. Came home packed. Tomorrow we leave. San Jose, San Jose Prov. Costa Rica August 21 drove to San Jose after last minute packing leaving Finca Jimenez we finally saw the bob white which we had heard calling most of us stay there. The drive took about 4 hours & we had good breath till
