C. Cavellin 1967 Journal /9 15 mi s Caiblanco, Heredia Prov. Costa Rica 2800 Aug 8 It frequently. We set insect light up at 8:00 Unknown to me & absolutely frantic. August 9 Up to dark clouds & possible rain. We had 2 bats in the net # 119 The 13 mouse traps set were dangerous. I got only one mouse. This time w the high breast BUT by a beard - like the other mice I caught. She was very floatal besides lactating. I was certain she was almost ready to give birth but she was simply floatal with aid. I should mention here that having spoken with several people regards what measurements to take on bats they have had several answers. So I take the usual four manual measurement plus the forearm followed by the 1 (in that order). I think its better to have too many than to few measurements. While bething the downstream came ashore after + 10:30 p.m. we left for San Jose. We drove most of the way up Volcan Poas (July 15th off July 9) which is in Alajuela Prov. There was not an over abundance of places to pull & the road & hums. Either they were free & near or too near the road & we were afraid someone might hit the steels. The
