C. Cavalin 1967 Journal Los Diamantes Farm, I miss Guapiles, Limon Prov. Costa Rica July 28 Behind is spinning so I didn't hunt this morning. Mercedes hunted & opened the nets. 5/05HKEE. Hunted in the afternoon & did poorly. We left the net open for bats. During the day we got only two #56. shot #57 from the leafy top part of rubber tree. Shot last a hummer & a huge brown bird with tail fards. Should like to note here that the Los Diamantes Farm accommodations are fantastic. Good food, lots of room & independence. $15 colones/day in the afternoon it rained very hard. July 29 On the way to the nets (one of which we left open for bats) I shot a creeper from a small patch of rubber trees where I previously shot a creeper & a wood pecker. Also from the rubber grove across the road I shot a dove #60. He was one of about 12 doves in the tree. Shot two hummers & lost them in the grass (both from the same tree) The fern is thriving at least. On a fence was #59 who I shot. There are many of these & grasses on fence wire & pools. I The #41 shot from a low tree. They are everywhere & their tail movement obvious. The parrot was one of about 50 all perched in the
