r, Susan M. 1972 Journal 16 Mud Lake, Tuolumne Co, Calif elev. ~4500' Left Yosemite Nat'l Park ~ 11:30 A.M [illegible]drove up here (see July 8th journal). Again walked rid lake to one of there is more than Rana catesbeiana which again is all we saw as well as one Thamnophis couchii. Lake may be a bit drier than 2 weeks ago). Saw several "dehydrated" frogs in older mud on edge. Both large. Hind legs had been eaten by something. Drove to Mather (~.5 mi) from Lake where got a lot of food? Sunday paper. Ate lunch & headed back down Evergreen Road towards rte 120. Topo map - see journal July 8 (p3) Middle fork of Tuolumne River, Tuolumne Co, Calif., elev. ~4400-4500' ~ 2:00 P.M. Think road may be changed a bit. On way down Evergreen Rd from Mather Tuolumne River (middle fork) crosses road twice, which is not indicated on topo map. We stopped someplace North of Middlefork Campground by a me lane bridge. ~ 2:00 P.M. Walked downstream. Is sunny, relatively
