North Crane Creek, (Yosemite Nat'l Park)
Sioumme Co, Calif. elev ~ 4600'
Stopped at picnic area, ~ 9:00 A.M.
walked downstream - lot of fallen logs-
lot of "shrubby" undergrowth asp.
along stream bank which made it
hard to get to at times. Walked
perhaps 1/4 mi downstream. Stream
only 4" wide maximum & 2-3' deep.
Rocks not look too large. Bottom
to small rocks. Habitat looks right
but nothing seems to be here. Too
early? Returned to picnic area
& went a short distance upstream
but without any luck. Wonder
if would be R. Boylei or R. muerosa
here? Topo map ref: as above. T.2S. R. 20E.
