Tuolumne Meadows High Sierra Camp, Yosemite
Nat'l Park, Tuolumne Co., Calif elev ~8700'
men & his wife. River altho not fast
in many places is rather wide -> up to
12-15ft but is not very deep. Large
boulders or sheer rock banks. Most
grassy banks are rather steep
which may not be good for frogs.
Also worked back downstream
downstream until came to rapids. Stopped
& returned to car at that pt. No
frogs seen, heard or scared.

Stopped ~ 2:00 P.M. where creek crosses
road - followed it [illegible] into meadow toward
Tuolumne River. Meadows are open w/ no
shade along creek border. Banks in
most places are to very steep & very
grassy, few rocks gets to stream bottom
is rocky (small rocks). Lot of fish -
largest ~ 5-6 inches. Walked up to where
it joins Tuolumne River but saw
