Sierra Club parking lot, Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite Nat'l Park, Tuolumne Co, Calif elev 8000'
where we captured one Dana muscosa last wk. River is ~ 12-15' across but no more than 3-4' deep. Lots of (small) fish - no frost seen. However a lot of human activity there. See journal for July 16 (p.8) for topo map ref. also for habitat.
tributary of Dana Fork of Tuolumne R., which crosses rte 120, Yosemite Nat'l Park, Tuolumne Co, Calif elev 9820' ~ 11:00 A.M.
small stream, ~ 2'-3' wide, shallow (<1') but slightly steep w/ lge boulders. Not much veg on bank (ie grasses). Dom. tree = lodgepole pine . Because of lge boulders was hard to follow. Went up ~ [illegible] mi (maybe) but nothing seen or heard.
