ase, Susan M. 1972 July 16 (cont). Journal trip to Yosemite Nall Park, Tuolumne Co, Calif. Habitat notes: 1. Monroe Middlefork Camp - as described previously (July 8) 2. Liesta Lake - rel. shallow lake w lot of grass ( growing along borders). Some areas of edge soggy as if lake level has been dropping. Lot of lodgepole pine. bottom samples. 3. Tuolumne Meadows area - mostly lodgepole pine to 1/2 area rel. flat, grassy to lot of rock. Pine est in dense stands). River up along Dane Fork is rocky; banks w/ pers vertical, ~6 in. to grassy areas or lge boulders. Tuolumne River which runs thru meadows is 12-15 ft across wide, ~ 2" - 12" deep. Some places rapid. Bottom of med/ small rocks. One of tributaries in main meadow ~ 25 ft wide; banks rel. steep, grassy. ~ 2' - 3' deep. Rel. slow. Sierra Club Camping Lot, Tuolumne Mdwes, Yosemite Nall Park Tuolumne Co. Calif. elev. 8600' July 22 Braham Jan & D are once again in Yosemite Nall Park. It's about 10:30 AM & are looking over, in daytime, the area
