oe, Susan M. 1972 July 16 (end) Trip to Yosemite N.P., Tuolumne Co., Calif. Siesta Lake indiv. both relatively light while that from Tuolumne Melows is very yellow, almost gold. Wonder how much indiv. variation there is? Also note that most productive collecting done in early-mid morning (~ 9-11 A.M.) and afternoon. (Siesta Lake, at 3:30 P.M., would have been very productive if we had meant to do serious collecting). Wonder if both are primarily diurnal? Of course haven't tried to night collecting of N. boydii so don't know activity of. If diurnal, are periods of activity defined by amt of light or T°. Would need to do good study of both- if only had time. Locality topo map ref: 1. Monroe Middlefork Camp, Middle Fork Tuolumne River, Tuolumne Co., Calif. Tuol. quad-15 min. #U3745-W|2000|15.
