1 overcast morning - light rain - does not look like it's going to clear up so will not head dn strm on creek.
2 decide to leave cmpgd - 9:45 am see if so better weather elsewhere. Is not, looks like rain all three pts. Return to Cedar Pass cmpgd to spend day - wait out weather. Will be welcome bk - perhaps help restore some enthusiasm.
30 July
1 cold night - still very overcast.
2 drove to Aultwas where only 58° at 11 am. Went to Likely & drove in along S. pk Pitt Rive. Aside from being cold the stream was running very fast from rain runoff, was overflowing its banks in places & was rather muddy. After walking it a few hundred yds in a few places I decided it wasn't worth it under present conditions.
3 drove up to Silver Lake - east of Lassen Volcanic Nat'l Park. Guess what? Thunderstorms. Looks
