24 July 1) up 17 N -> San Rafael (where sat last) -> Sir Francis Drake Blvd to Rte 1. 2) check stream in Taylor State Park at couple of places for boylii but no luck 3) Drove up 1 N. Stopped at Salmon Ck to look for aurora, No luck. 4) stopped to try small stream for boylier Nothing 5) Stopped at mouth of Gualala river . Just 2 deer. 6) drove up to Manchester Beach State Park where camped. Looked for 2 ponds at N end of beach when Sam Sweet found aurora - dry 25 July 1) walked down beach toward Pt Arena to find outlet Lagunas Ck & followed upstream anyway but no fads 2) drove up to junct w Rte stopped at ck just S of Greenwood Ck. Got sev. (10 x 14 x 20) boylii tadpoles. Also some Salamander larvae there)
