Sonoma quad. 122°17' W, 38°27' N elev ~1360'
12:45- 1:15 P.M. Sunny, litt cool, w breeze.
Julian & I stopped for lunch- walk down hillside few feet to some rocks.
Saw some lizards scot out of site as we came up.
~15 min after 1st arrived, what turned out to be larger one (I) lizard peeked head up over edge of burnedout piece of wood (B) resting by rock (R). Several times was scared off (by accident). ~5 min later smaller lizard (II) appear on far end of log A - move toward us - flatten out against log for few minutes. Do one shallow pushup.
-3 ite small flying insect (which I also saw), orient, leap at (guess he got it). Look like he may have caught several more in the next few seconds
