ae, S.M. 1975 Rana muscosa 13 California: El Dorado Co, Tamarack lake, T, R17E 15 Sept (cont) 1 frog seen sitting on log at spot X. Tried 3 times to capture but unsuccessful. Area along N shore grassy, hd to get into. May be others there. Upon scaring frog into H2O, it returned to farther end of log w/in 5 min. Three more juveniles found in area 1 which is outlet of lake - lot of fallen logs there to many hiding places. One other individual seen there but unable to capture. Two more individuals taken in area 2), also shallow, w grass (not dense) & lots of silt. A few tad (of uncertain identy.) also seen there.
