Stopped ~ 5:00 P.M. to see if we could
get anymore frogs since we know
they are there. Walked over to the
SW side of lake where saw them
before but no activity. Continued
around away then came back.
One was caught ~ 2-3' from H2O.
Smell indiv. caught - characteristic
odor most prominent, W in a few
min. another life indiv. was
caught. A third was heard to
jump into the lake but got
away. A dead tadpole ~~ which
was metamorphosing
was found on m ~ 1 ft of shore
& brought back. Hind legs were
developing but no forelegs were
externally visible. We continued
to walk around the edge of
the lake ( best described as
edge as very soggy mud to
much grass growing in it) to
the side nearest road but no
more adults were seen. Tadpoles
were obvious along the edge of
