California: Trinity Co., Mill Ck where crosses
rte 299.
August
saw 1 animal sitting on rock in middle
of stream which was fairly fast moving.
Unable to catch. No other frogs seen.

bridge near Philpot cmpgd elev 2400'

worked downstream from where worked
last year. Frogs seem fairly abundant
since only went few hundred yards
& was able to get 10. Animals not seem
to be very wary. (~12n-1pm PDT)

After going downstream, went to cmpgd
& worked upstream from edge of cmpgd.
Frogs much rarer but also abundant.
Caught 5 before stopped by rattlesnake
(Cer Crotalus viridis). Did catch 2 more
on way back to camp (1-2:30 pm PDT)
California: Trinity Co., unnamed tributary into
Philpot Ck at Philpot cmpgd. elev ~2400'
is a partially dry tributary which
flows into Philpot Ck at cmpgd.
Late afternoon (~4-5 pm PDT) as was
getting overcast, able to get 10 frogs
from this tributary in which they also
seem abundant.
