Phelpst Cpgd, Phelpst Creek
T1N R12W-11 elev- 2400' (?)
looked and campgd before left
(~ & 7:45 -> 9 am PDT). Caught 9
indiv. Not see any tadpoles. Seem
fairly abundant - lot of small juveniles.
(note: 7 of the 9 died next day from
overheating).

Calif: Colusa Co, Mill Creek cpgd, Mill
Creek, Mendocino Natl Forest elev-1625'
cought 7 tadpoles. Only checked
area immediately near campgd - not
go upstream at all. Stream much
lower - some algal growth - in
which tadpoles hide. Also
saw 3-4 adults in that area.
July
Calif: Nevada Co, Washington, Washington
Creek elev 2971': T17N R1E quad. 12+13
stopped around noon at bridge
and walked upstream. Got 1 frog - very
reddish hue. Then went downstream
where was less of a gradient. Got
5 more individuals in ~ 1/2 mi of
stream. No tadpoles seen.
