10 Rana boylii Mill Creek, Mill Creek Campgd, Mendocino Nat'l Forest, Colusa Co., Calif. estimated # 25-75 ~8:30-9 A.M. (PDT) -> ~11:00-11:30 AM (PDT). walked upstream (site A)-several hundred yards. Frogs out even at this early hour - only checked west bank (easiest access) & would be side which seen hit earliest. Caught total of 12 indiv., most O's (I think). Many others seen which unable to catch. Saw at least a dozen egg masses. Thought heard some O's calling from east bank. Call is low rattling (not quite sure how to describe it). Then proceeded to area near campgd where previously caught 2 individuals. Walked length of campgd - & caught 8 more indiv. 4-6 juveniles seen, several egg masses, one of which looked like it had been recently laid. All individuals near campgd much more wary (as expected). All animals taken from east bank.
