Rana boylei Monroe Middlefork Camp, E of Road, middle fork of Tuolumne River, Tuolumne Co, Calif elev ~ 2800' ~ 8:30 A.M. Returned to same rocky shore where caught indiv. of July 8th at 7:45 P.M. Scared 2 off bank m way up but unable to capture. Will return later. Tom Buckholtz & Graham Chalmers & I are not trying again. Collected 3 small individuals w/in ~ 10 min. all along this bank. Domin. neg as earlier described. Tom & Graham perseverely caught 1st two; Graham & I caught 3rd. 8:55 A.M. Graham spotted one frog we'd previously scared off the bank. He & Tom managed to catch him. 9:10 A.M. ~ 100 yds upstream. Crossed stream to another large rocky shore caught on shore as head toward H2O (Tom) Graham spotted 2 more in H2O.
