Journal 10, S.M. 1975 50 15 Sept. Tuol.-El Dorado trip drove dn to end of Fallen Lake- is all resort area. Took rd thru Stanford Sierra Camp. Trail to Cathedral lake so obscure that can't befd. Also unable to find trail to Angora lakes. Drove down to Echo lake (on 50W). Trail to Tamarack lake | Desolation Wilderness| clearly marked. Took 2 hrs to hike in. Pthly cloudy. Arrived ~ 1pm PDT. N Many (?) Hyla tadis seen in pool @ [illegible] f'd 5 Rana muscosa juveniles after ~3hrs search. Arrived at car ~5:30. Stayed at Pyramid Campgd. 16 Sept. spent a.m. walking American River, sev. mi. west of Kyburg. No luck- just fish. Think it may be too developed. Returned to Berkeley.
