Case, S.M. 1975 Journal 43 28 July (cont) n. Calif. trip Afternoon drove N to new Pine Ck & took rd up to Lily Lake (~6-8mi E) Were # Bufo sp. tads & several adults of which I caught 1 for Julie Feder. In small pool were both Hyla (?) and Bufo tads - got sev. Hyla tads? 1 Bufo. On way down from Lake stopped at stream & 2 ponds to look for frogs but none seen. Stayed at Plum Valley Cmpgd but no frogs seen in stream there. 29 July Overcast when awoke, rain. Does not look like it's going to clear up. Left cmpgd ~10 am to see if better weather S. Is not; rain cl'ds all over mts. Return to Cedar Pass cmpgd to spend day 30 July Still overcast & cold. Drove to Alturas & took rte 395 to Likely. Went E along S. Fk P'tt Rvr. But was cold; river swollen & muddy from all the rain. Decided not worth looking under present conditions. Drove to Silver Lake area on east edge of Caribou wilderness east of Lassen Volcanic Nat'l P'K (LVNP)
