ee. Susan M. 1973 Journal 38 2 July (cont) H.A. County trip would be hiding. Oh well! Tomorrow the east fork. 3 July Left spgd about 8 AM & got down to east fork of river - Williams Flat area by ~ 8:30 am. Lot of camping areas developed along river. Help! Stopped just E of Williams area - collected 14 [illegible] californiae (see sp. acct). Then went to W fork & collect 8 tads there (style californica sp. acct). Before ran into problems w/ plastic bags. Before leaving area also decided to stop at Lincoln Sts. area. Got 10 style tads there (see sp. acc'ts). Also present were Bufo boreas tads. Also saw 2 newly metamorphosed individuals as well as a just metamorphosed R. baylei. Drove into Azusa on 39 for more ice & headed back via 101. Arrived ~ 11 PM.
