Nevada trip
5 July
Left Berkeley ~ 9 AM took 80 to
Auburn where took 49 -> 20. Got
to Washington area ~ noon. Between
noon & 5 PM collected 13 R. boyleri
(see sp. accte). Drove up to Indian
Spring Cpgd for night.
July
Left ~ 8:15 AM to try to get to
Houser & Sutton's localities at Rattlesnake
Creek & Magoniel Summit area.
Got 1 R. muscosa in lower Rattlesnake
Creek but unable to get into other
localities as car. Not prepared to backpack
in.
Then drove up toward Graniteville
via Bowman Lake Stopped at Fall
Creek on way but no frogs. Stopped
at Poorman Creek just outside Graniteville.
Did see 2 muscosa (?) but unable
to capture (almost but not quite!!).
~4 PM (PD) Stayed at
Cpgd. All animals beclipped.
17 July
Found one animal from Washington
Creek had died during night. Oh well.
Drove down on rte 49 to Big Trees
(Rte 4). Is a stop around Auburn
for more ice & some supplies.
