see, Susann 1973 Journal 29 April and the road was under ~ 3 ft of water which we decided not to drive through. Returned ~ 1/2 way back to main road. Stopped to camp in field few hundred yds from Mr. Smith's property. Collected seals found there (identified later by J.L. Patton as bobcat). 2 April Arose ~ 7 A.M. & left ~ 8:30 AM. Return to Upper Lake and drove on rte 20 east 'til turnoff for Bartlett Springs where Wake? Sweet had collected frogs in October. Stopped for ~ 20 min to investigate stream once inside NALL Forest area but no frogs, just lizards. Once past Bartlett Springs, stopped at another picnic area to eat lunch. As about to begin serious searching, were interrupted by 2 cars which drove up and w/ 5 kids, 3 dogs and 3 guys who went off to target shoot in the area I wanted to explore. So . . . we drove further
