Soda Creek . H2O not hi, muddy or fast.
Lots of rocks (small), gravel rock bottom.
Look like good habitat. Julian & I
walked ~ .4 mi downstream but no
frogs. Several hundred yards from
where we started found 2 & Taricha
granulosa (?) in the H2O near the edge.
Only few inches apart. ~ 100 yds
farther downstream saw a Thamnophis sp.
disappearing into tho nearby grass.
Near the end of our search found
another & Taricha (on the opposite
side of the bank) - also in H2O near edge
(1st 2 on east bank, last one on west bank)
Wonder if there are any frogs here???
Looks like there should be.
Location: 122°17' W , 38°22' N ~ 530' elev.
