Lucien M. 1972 Journal 18 middle fork of Tuolumne River, Tuolumne Co., Calf - elev ~ 4400' - 4500' and places marked to return to later. Went as far as beginning of private ranch/ farm ( could see where gate was on road for cattle ). Met 2 cows there. Most of places we returned to which had been marked- paw no evid. of frogs. In one place did find juvenile which was released. Looked like Lane Baylei but am not sure. Would like to return here. Topo map ref.: Lake Eleanor ( as above) T. 15. R. 19E. either sect 15 upper right or sect 10 lower middle. ( tributary not shown ) middlefork Campground, Tuolumne Co., Calf elev ~ 4385' waked upstream but is very wide ( -> 20' ) shallowest ( -> 4' ) & rocky. Computes up to ~ 100 yds from road then barbed wire ( even across river! ) indicating private property. Waked downstream sew. hundred yds but still too wide & far too many people. ~ 3:00 P.M. left for home. Topo map: Lake Eleanor quad ( as above) T. 15 R. 19E sect. 15 - upper 1/3,
