Busack 1983-26 5 APR LACERTA LEPIDA (JV 65, 370g, 224 + 412 C) under rocks along the roadside where it ran to hide after we shot at, and missed, the beast. ALCALA DE LOS GAZULES, 4.3 km E. on C-440 we collected a baby LACERTA LEPIDA (JV 66, 6.6g, 65 + 114 C) while turning rocks in our search for P. walte. 18.8 km E. we turned rocks at the base of a stone wall and Jeanne was successful in capturing two COLUBER HIPPOCREPIS (SDB 1969, ♀, 12.5g, 344 + 84mm ; SDB 1970, ♀, 120g, 772 + 193 mm ) while I stood by and lamented the fact that my back was still mending. 35.2 km E., at the place we (eth Maywells and I) used to call "Honeycomb Rock", Jeanne and I saw a TRITURUS MAEMORATUS in the temporary pond behind the rock. 6 APR TARIFA-MALAGA-TARIFA to pick up DAVID GREEN. 7 APR SPAIN: CADIZ Prov.; FACINAS a short day today, partially to break DMG in to its locality, we went to and on via 16.2 km N. of FACINAS to collect.
