Busaek 1983 1983-3 12 MAR unseasonably hot. It's about 25°c and the countryside up to this point has been very dry. Today we'll begin our search for in this area last year we found Alytes obstetricus, Salamandra salamandra, and the other more common amphibians. CHEFCHAOUEN, 3.2 km NE on 8304 to Oued LAOU after driving 4.5 km N. of CHAOUEN on the CHAOUEN-TÉTOUN highway. Discoglossus pictus (Sob 1757) [♂, 12g, SVL = 48 mm] in a vernal pond which will be dry very soon.
