S.O.BUSACK 8 JUN "CONT'D" 1' HERCULE. The compound is expressive (10 DH/NIGHT) but, we think, probably better. After setting up camp, we tried the road to the S. which, P-2, passes through some likely-looking Acanthodactylus habitat. 21 km. S. TANGER (by km marker on HIGHWAY) we stopped in a mixed Pinus, Quercus, Eucalyptus forest and collected: ACANTHOACTYCUS ERYTHRURUS (1506, ?, 6.2g, 63+106 C), PSAMMODROMUS ALGIRUS (1507, δ; 5.8 g, 61+163 R), and a MALPAGON MONSPESULCANUS (1508, 245g, 810+246 mm). The Malpagon contained: P. ALGIRUS (1508) 5.6 g, 58+127, HEAD WIDTH = 9mm " " " 11g, 81+146, " = 12 In the late evening we decided to try the area (≈ 7 km W. TANGER [AIR]) from which we extracted our first Moroccan COUNBER. We were lucky, and a series of PSAMMODROMUS ALGIRUS was collected: 1509 δ 11.25g 99+124R 1510 δ 10.25g 75+128B 1511 δ 11.25g 76+140R 1512 δ 4.7 g 56+125C 1513 δ 3.8 g 54+138C 1514 ? 3.9g 56+127c, in which one specimen had a TṢ = 35°C and a TṤ of 27°C. 1 km (AIR) CAP ARTEL
