S.D. Busack 1982 4 JUNE "cont'd -2" and were torturing it. I cut it free and took heart and liver from it freshly killed (blood still flowing) body (=1458). The kids wanted (of course, they always do) money, but we just left feeling disgusted. 5 JUNE MOROCCO: EL JADIDA -> TANGER. PANIC! The Nitrogen tank is empty! We left for Casablanca early in the morning. RELIEF! Behind the GENERAL TIRE outlet on the coastal highway leading N. from CASABLANCA is a factory which produces N2, O2 and acetylene. We refilled the tank and drove on up into TANGER (wheW!) On the way up, 17 km N. of LARACHE on P-2, we saw one adult Testudo graeca crossing the highway. The last time we were in this area we had found one which we photographed. They do not seem to be rare. 6 JUN MOROCCO; TANGER Relaxing at the GRAND HOTEL VILLA DE FRANCE on the Blvd. PASTEUR.
