8 km. N. of this meadow at
Oubaimeden, we collected one MAERO-
CORONELLA GIRONICA
PROTONOTER CUCURBITATUS (1339, ♂ 37g, 443+
100 mm, ≈ DOR) at 2270 M. Jeanne
- got the first QUEDENFELDIA TRACHYBLEPH-
ARUS (1340, ♂, 2.1g, 49+B, 1 shelled egg R
[11x6], 1 yellow follicle L) on a rock
along the roadside.
After we set up camp, I collected
along the streambed at the S. end
of the meadow where camping is
allowed (no sanitary facilities, but the
mountain-snow-fed stream is delightful).
At this time, I also decided to do a
population study of ZOOTOCA ANDREANSKYI.
To begin, I collected in an area along
the stream's W. edge which was demarcated
by a large rock at the S.E. end and a
stone fence at the N. end. In the early
evening (between 1600 and 1700) I collected
17 Z. andreanskyi and 1 Podacris
HISPANICA; 3 HYLÁ MERIDIONALIS were
also collected (1341, 2.0g, 30mm SVL;
and 1342, 1.5g, 28mm;
1343, 1.5g, 26mm SVL). Since I
collected body temperature & block-body
open shade (Ta) temperature without
associating them later with individuals, I
