ALGIRUS 138C; 1282, σᵢ, 3.7g, 53+143C). : CHECHAOUEN, just E. of city at river with "tenaced falls". Collected 5 recently transformed Discocossus pictus and all were frozen whole for tissues (=SDB 1284). 26 MAY MOROCCO: CHECHAOUEN, MUNICIPAL Campground. Today we drove along the road to BAB TAZA (SE from CHECHAOUEN) and collected along the way. From culvert along the road we took 2 TARENTOLA MAURITANICA (1285, σᵢ, 7.7g, 64+64C; 1286, σᵢ, 63+65C, 7.6g), 2 Psammodesmus ALGIRUS (1287, φ, 3.2g, 52+124C, in tall grass; 1288, φ, 14g, 81+173C, 4 shelled eggs [11x6, 11x7, 12x6, 12x6] on right, 4 shelled eggs [5? x 12x6, 11x7] left), and one MAUREMYs LEPROSA (1289, from river almost due S. of chechouin). Back at the campground, we collected 2 more PODARCIS HISPANICA (1291, σᵢ, 2.8g, 50+59R; 1292, 2.2g, 49+59R, φ, 1 yolbed follide right 2 yolbed on left). The 2ND P. algirus was found ~1 Meter up in an oak tree along the roadside! They are semi-arboreal!
